لَّهُۥ مَقَالِيدُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۗ وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ بِ‍َٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلۡخَٰسِرُونَ 63

63        The keys of the heavens and the earth belong to Allah (i.e. Allah is the Controller of all affairs). And the disbelievers of the Allah's revelations will be the losers.

قُلۡ أَفَغَيۡرَ ٱللَّهِ تَأۡمُرُوٓنِّيٓ أَعۡبُدُ أَيُّهَا ٱلۡجَٰهِلُونَ 64

64        [O Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him)!] Say: “O you ignorant people! Do you compel me to worship other than Allah?”

وَلَقَدۡ أُوحِيَ إِلَيۡكَ وَإِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِكَ لَئِنۡ أَشۡرَكۡتَ لَيَحۡبَطَنَّ عَمَلُكَ وَلَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلۡخَٰسِرِينَ 65

65        And, indeed, it was revealed to you [O Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him)!] and to those before you: “If you join others in worship with Allah, all your deeds will surely become null and void, and you will certainly be among the losers.”

بَلِ ٱللَّهَ فَٱعۡبُدۡ وَكُن مِّنَ ٱلشَّٰكِرِينَ 66

66        In fact, you should worship Allah (Alone), and be among the grateful (persons).

وَمَا قَدَرُواْ ٱللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدۡرِهِۦ وَٱلۡأَرۡضُ جَمِيعٗا قَبۡضَتُهُۥ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ وَٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُ مَطۡوِيَّٰتُۢ بِيَمِينِهِۦۚ سُبۡحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ عَمَّا يُشۡرِكُونَ 67

67        (Alas!) People did not value (the Greatness and Power of) Allah the way they should have. The whole of the earth will be held in His Palm on the Day of Resurrection and heavens will be rolled up in His Right Hand. Glorified is He, and High is He above all that they associate as partners with Him.

وَنُفِخَ فِي ٱلصُّورِ فَصَعِقَ مَن فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَن فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ إِلَّا مَن شَآءَ ٱللَّهُۖ ثُمَّ نُفِخَ فِيهِ أُخۡرَىٰ فَإِذَا هُمۡ قِيَامٞ يَنظُرُونَ 68

68        And the Trumpet will be blown, and all those in the heavens and on the earth will become unconscious except whom Allah wills (i.e. some angels). Then the Trumpet will be blown a second time and suddenly they will be standing and looking on (i.e. waiting).

وَأَشۡرَقَتِ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ بِنُورِ رَبِّهَا وَوُضِعَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبُ وَجِاْيٓءَ بِٱلنَّبِيِّ‍ۧنَ وَٱلشُّهَدَآءِ وَقُضِيَ بَيۡنَهُم بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَهُمۡ لَا يُظۡلَمُونَ 69

69        (Allah will appear on the earth in the form which suits His Majesty). The earth will shine with the light of its Creator (Allah), and the Book of accountability will be placed (in front of everybody), and the Prophets and witnesses will be brought, and judgement will be made between them with justice and they will not be wronged.

وَوُفِّيَتۡ كُلُّ نَفۡسٖ مَّا عَمِلَتۡ وَهُوَ أَعۡلَمُ بِمَا يَفۡعَلُونَ 70

70        And every person will be rewarded fully according to his deeds, and He knows Best what you are doing.

وَسِيقَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓاْ إِلَىٰ جَهَنَّمَ زُمَرًاۖ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءُوهَا فُتِحَتۡ أَبۡوَٰبُهَا وَقَالَ لَهُمۡ خَزَنَتُهَآ أَلَمۡ يَأۡتِكُمۡ رُسُلٞ مِّنكُمۡ يَتۡلُونَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ ءَايَٰتِ رَبِّكُمۡ وَيُنذِرُونَكُمۡ لِقَآءَ يَوۡمِكُمۡ هَٰذَاۚ قَالُواْ بَلَىٰ وَلَٰكِنۡ حَقَّتۡ كَلِمَةُ ٱلۡعَذَابِ عَلَى ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ 71

71        And the disbelievers will be driven to Hell in groups. When they reach near Hell, its gates will be opened. And its guards will say: “Did messengers not come to you from yourselves, reciting to you the Verses of your Creator and warning you of the Meeting of this Day?” They will say: “Yes, but the Word (command) of torment has been justified against the disbelievers.” (Also see Surah At-Tur:13)

قِيلَ ٱدۡخُلُوٓاْ أَبۡوَٰبَ جَهَنَّمَ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَاۖ فَبِئۡسَ مَثۡوَى ٱلۡمُتَكَبِّرِينَ 72

72        It will be said (to them): “Enter the gates of Hell, to reside there forever. What an evil residence for the arrogant people!”

وَسِيقَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَوۡاْ رَبَّهُمۡ إِلَى ٱلۡجَنَّةِ زُمَرًاۖ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءُوهَا وَفُتِحَتۡ أَبۡوَٰبُهَا وَقَالَ لَهُمۡ خَزَنَتُهَا سَلَٰمٌ عَلَيۡكُمۡ طِبۡتُمۡ فَٱدۡخُلُوهَا خَٰلِدِينَ 73

73        And those who feared their Creator will be led to Paradise in groups. When they arrive there, its gates will be opened (for their reception even before their arrival), and its guards will say to them: “Peace be upon you! Enjoy yourselves here, and enter to reside there forever.”

وَقَالُواْ ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِي صَدَقَنَا وَعۡدَهُۥ وَأَوۡرَثَنَا ٱلۡأَرۡضَ نَتَبَوَّأُ مِنَ ٱلۡجَنَّةِ حَيۡثُ نَشَآءُۖ فَنِعۡمَ أَجۡرُ ٱلۡعَٰمِلِينَ 74

74        And the residents of Paradise will say: “All praise and thanks are due to Allah who has fulfilled His Promise and has made us inherit this land so that we can reside in Paradise wherever we like. So what a fantastic reward for the good workers!”

وَتَرَى ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ حَآفِّينَ مِنۡ حَوۡلِ ٱلۡعَرۡشِ يُسَبِّحُونَ بِحَمۡدِ رَبِّهِمۡۚ وَقُضِيَ بَيۡنَهُم بِٱلۡحَقِّۚ وَقِيلَ ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ 75

75        And you will see the angels surrounding the Throne (of Allah) from all around, glorifying the praise of their Creator (during this meeting for accountability). And they will be judged with full justice. (At those judgements everybody will say with excitement): “All praise and thanks are due to Allah, the Creator of the universe.” (With this the meeting will be closed).

حمٓ 1

1        Ha-Mim (Only Allah knows their meanings).

تَنزِيلُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡعَزِيزِ ٱلۡعَلِيمِ 2

2        The revelation of the Book (the Quran) is from Allah, the All-Mighty, the All-Knower.

غَافِرِ ٱلذَّنۢبِ وَقَابِلِ ٱلتَّوۡبِ شَدِيدِ ٱلۡعِقَابِ ذِي ٱلطَّوۡلِۖ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَۖ إِلَيۡهِ ٱلۡمَصِيرُ 3

3        The Forgiver of sin, the Acceptor of repentance, the Severe in punishment, the Bestower (of favours) (or the Owner of Power). None has the right to be worshipped but Allah, to Him is the final return. (Also see Surah Al-Hajr:49 and 50)

مَا يُجَٰدِلُ فِيٓ ءَايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ فَلَا يَغۡرُرۡكَ تَقَلُّبُهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡبِلَٰدِ 4

4        Only the disbelievers dispute about the revelations of Allah. So let not their (successful) activities in the land deceive you (since their end will be the Hell-Fire).

كَذَّبَتۡ قَبۡلَهُمۡ قَوۡمُ نُوحٖ وَٱلۡأَحۡزَابُ مِنۢ بَعۡدِهِمۡۖ وَهَمَّتۡ كُلُّ أُمَّةِۢ بِرَسُولِهِمۡ لِيَأۡخُذُوهُۖ وَجَٰدَلُواْ بِٱلۡبَٰطِلِ لِيُدۡحِضُواْ بِهِ ٱلۡحَقَّ فَأَخَذۡتُهُمۡۖ فَكَيۡفَ كَانَ عِقَابِ 5

5        The people of Nuh (pbuh), and other powerful groups after them, denied (their messengers) earlier. Every (disbelieving) group tried to seize his messenger (and then kill him) and disputed by means of falsehood to refute the truth. Then I seized them (with punishment). Hence, how (terrible) was My punish-ment!

وَكَذَٰلِكَ حَقَّتۡ كَلِمَتُ رَبِّكَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓاْ أَنَّهُمۡ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلنَّارِ 6

6        And thus the word of your Creator has been justified against the disbelievers that they will be the residents of Hell-Fire. (Hence, the disbelievers are punished Here and in the Hereafter).

ٱلَّذِينَ يَحۡمِلُونَ ٱلۡعَرۡشَ وَمَنۡ حَوۡلَهُۥ يُسَبِّحُونَ بِحَمۡدِ رَبِّهِمۡ وَيُؤۡمِنُونَ بِهِۦ وَيَسۡتَغۡفِرُونَ لِلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْۖ رَبَّنَا وَسِعۡتَ كُلَّ شَيۡءٖ رَّحۡمَةٗ وَعِلۡمٗا فَٱغۡفِرۡ لِلَّذِينَ تَابُواْ وَٱتَّبَعُواْ سَبِيلَكَ وَقِهِمۡ عَذَابَ ٱلۡجَحِيمِ 7

7        (On the other hand, the believers are highly respected and the angels pray for them). Those (angels) who carry the Throne (of Allah) and those around it, glorify the praise of their Creator, and they believe in Him, and they ask for forgiveness for those who believe (saying): “Our Creator! You encompass everything with (Your) mercy and knowledge, so forgive those who repent and follow Your Path, and save them from the torment of the Hell-Fire!”
