Ayah number : 26
26 (Saying): “Before this, we, indeed, used to be scared (of the punishment) in our families.”
Ayah number : 27
27 “So it is a great Favour of Allah Who has saved us from the torment of Fire.”
Ayah number : 28
28 “Indeed, even before this We used to invoke (or pray to) Him. (So He granted our supplication). Indeed, He is Generous, the Most Merciful.”
Ayah number : 29
29 [O Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him)!] Hence, remind (mankind with the topics described above) since, by the Grace of Allah you are neither a soothsayer, nor a madman.
Ayah number : 30
30 Or do they say: “[Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him)] is a poet? We are waiting for some calamity (like death) to fall on him (in due course of time).”
Ayah number : 31
31 Or do they say: “[Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him)] is a poet? We are waiting for some calamity (like death) to fall on him (in due course of time).”
Ayah number : 32
32 Does their intelligence dictate them this [i.e. to tell lies against Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him)] or are they a people transgressing all human limits?
Ayah number : 33
33 Do they say: “He has forged it (the Quran)?” In fact, they simply don’t believe (in it).
Ayah number : 34
34 So they should bring even one statement like this (i.e. Quran) if they are truthful in their claim.
Ayah number : 35
35 Were they created by them-selves without any creator, or were they the creators?
Ayah number : 36
36 Or did they create the skies and the earth? In fact, they don’t have firm Belief.
Ayah number : 37
37 Or do they have the treasures (of Mercy, Favours, Prophethood) of your Creator (so that they give Prophethood to whom they like), or are they the controllers of these treasures?
Ayah number : 38
38 Or do they have a stairway (to the sky) with which they listen (to the talks of angels, i.e. do they have any revelations obtained like this)? Then their listener should produce a clear proof of it.
Ayah number : 39
39 Or has He only daughters and you have sons?
Ayah number : 40
40 Or do you [O Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him)!] ask them for a reward (for your services), so that they are burdened with this demand?
Ayah number : 41
41 Or do they have knowledge of the Unseen, which they then write down [e.g. Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) will definitely die before they die]?
Ayah number : 42
42 Or do they intend to plot [against you, i.e. to kill the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him)]? But the disbelievers are them-selves plotted against (as in Badr). (Also see Surah Fatir:43)
Ayah number : 43
43 Or have they a god other than Allah? Glorified is Allah from all that they ascribe as partners (to Him).
Ayah number : 44
44 (Even if their demanded miracle take place, they are very stub-born in their thinking). And if they were to see a piece of the sky falling down, they would say: “These are only layers of clouds piled up.”
Ayah number : 45
45 So leave them alone (in their condition) till they meet their Day in which they will faint (with horror).
