Order in Al-Mushaf : 53
Ayah number : 37
وَإِبۡرَٰهِيمَ ٱلَّذِي وَفَّىٰٓ 37
37 And by Ibrahim’s (peace be upon him ) (Books), who ful-fil-led his promise (to Allah by conveying His message that he was supposed to convey).
Ayah number : 38
أَلَّا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٞ وِزۡرَ أُخۡرَىٰ 38
38 (And that message was) no one will carry the weight (of sins) of another person.
Ayah number : 39
وَأَن لَّيۡسَ لِلۡإِنسَٰنِ إِلَّا مَا سَعَىٰ 39
39 And that every person will have nothing except that which he did (good or bad).
Ayah number : 40
وَأَنَّ سَعۡيَهُۥ سَوۡفَ يُرَىٰ 40
40 And that every person’s effort will be examined.
Ayah number : 41
ثُمَّ يُجۡزَىٰهُ ٱلۡجَزَآءَ ٱلۡأَوۡفَىٰ 41
41 Then he will be rewarded fully.
Ayah number : 42
وَأَنَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ ٱلۡمُنتَهَىٰ 42
42 And that everyone is to return to his Creator. (Hence, why should he not fear Allah?)
Ayah number : 43
وَأَنَّهُۥ هُوَ أَضۡحَكَ وَأَبۡكَىٰ 43
43 And that He makes (whom He wills) laugh, and (whom He wills) weep.
Ayah number : 44
وَأَنَّهُۥ هُوَ أَمَاتَ وَأَحۡيَا 44
44 And that He causes death and gives life.
Ayah number : 45
وَأَنَّهُۥ خَلَقَ ٱلزَّوۡجَيۡنِ ٱلذَّكَرَ وَٱلۡأُنثَىٰ 45
45 And, indeed, He creates pairs, male and female,
Ayah number : 46
مِن نُّطۡفَةٍ إِذَا تُمۡنَىٰ 46
46 From minute quantity of semen (male and female dis-charge) when it is emitted.
Ayah number : 47
وَأَنَّ عَلَيۡهِ ٱلنَّشۡأَةَ ٱلۡأُخۡرَىٰ 47
47 And that He will give life again (Resurrection).
Ayah number : 48
وَأَنَّهُۥ هُوَ أَغۡنَىٰ وَأَقۡنَىٰ 48
48 And that He makes you rich and gives in abundance (wealth and contentment).
Ayah number : 49
وَأَنَّهُۥ هُوَ رَبُّ ٱلشِّعۡرَىٰ 49
49 And that He is the Creator of Sirius (the star which pagan Arabs used to worship).
Ayah number : 50
وَأَنَّهُۥٓ أَهۡلَكَ عَادًا ٱلۡأُولَىٰ 50
50 And that He destroyed the former A’d (people).
Ayah number : 51
وَثَمُودَاْ فَمَآ أَبۡقَىٰ 51
51 And Thamud (people). So none was saved.
Ayah number : 52
وَقَوۡمَ نُوحٖ مِّن قَبۡلُۖ إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُواْ هُمۡ أَظۡلَمَ وَأَطۡغَىٰ 52
52 And the people of Nuh (peace be upon him ) of earlier times. Indeed, they were very unjust and extreme transgressors.
Ayah number : 53
وَٱلۡمُؤۡتَفِكَةَ أَهۡوَىٰ 53
53 And He destroyed the over-turned cities (of Sodom).
Ayah number : 54
فَغَشَّىٰهَا مَا غَشَّىٰ 54
54 So it was covered with what it was supposed to be covered (i.e. rain of stones covered it).
Ayah number : 55
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكَ تَتَمَارَىٰ 55
55 (O mankind! When you are provided guidance through these topics and the guidance in each topic is a Favour of Allah) Then which of the Favours of Allah will you doubt (and deny)?
Ayah number : 56
هَٰذَا نَذِيرٞ مِّنَ ٱلنُّذُرِ ٱلۡأُولَىٰٓ 56
56 This [Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him)] is a warner from among the (series of) earlier warners.
