Order in Al-Mushaf : 54
Ayah number : 15
وَلَقَد تَّرَكۡنَٰهَآ ءَايَةٗ فَهَلۡ مِن مُّدَّكِرٖ 15
15 We have, indeed, made this event as a sign. Is there anyone to seek advise from it?
Ayah number : 16
فَكَيۡفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ 16
16 So how (terrible) was My Torment and My Warning?
Ayah number : 17
وَلَقَدۡ يَسَّرۡنَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ لِلذِّكۡرِ فَهَلۡ مِن مُّدَّكِرٖ 17
17 And indeed, We have made the Quran easy to understand, so is there anyone to seek advice from it?
Ayah number : 18
كَذَّبَتۡ عَادٞ فَكَيۡفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ 18
18 (The people of) A’d denied [Prophet Hud (peace be upon him )], so how (ter-rible) was My Torment and My Warning?
Ayah number : 19
إِنَّآ أَرۡسَلۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ رِيحٗا صَرۡصَرٗا فِي يَوۡمِ نَحۡسٖ مُّسۡتَمِرّٖ 19
19 Indeed, We sent against them a furious wind on a day of evil omen and continuous (misery).
Ayah number : 20
تَنزِعُ ٱلنَّاسَ كَأَنَّهُمۡ أَعۡجَازُ نَخۡلٖ مُّنقَعِرٖ 20
20 It threw around people as if they were uprooted stems of palm trees.
Ayah number : 21
فَكَيۡفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ 21
21 Then, how (terrible) was My Torment and My Warning.
Ayah number : 22
وَلَقَدۡ يَسَّرۡنَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ لِلذِّكۡرِ فَهَلۡ مِن مُّدَّكِرٖ 22
22 And indeed, We have made the Quran easy to understand, so is there anyone to seek advice from it?
Ayah number : 23
كَذَّبَتۡ ثَمُودُ بِٱلنُّذُرِ 23
23 Thamud (people) also denied the warners.
Ayah number : 24
فَقَالُوٓاْ أَبَشَرٗا مِّنَّا وَٰحِدٗا نَّتَّبِعُهُۥٓ إِنَّآ إِذٗا لَّفِي ضَلَٰلٖ وَسُعُرٍ 24
24 So they said: “If we follow a man from ourselves, then, indeed, we would be in great error and in madness.”
Ayah number : 25
أَءُلۡقِيَ ٱلذِّكۡرُ عَلَيۡهِ مِنۢ بَيۡنِنَا بَلۡ هُوَ كَذَّابٌ أَشِرٞ 25
25 (They further said:) “Are the revelations sent to him [Prophet Salih (peace be upon him )] alone from among us? In fact, he is simply a boastful liar.”
Ayah number : 26
سَيَعۡلَمُونَ غَدٗا مَّنِ ٱلۡكَذَّابُ ٱلۡأَشِرُ 26
26 Tomorrow they will come to know who is the boastful liar!
Ayah number : 27
إِنَّا مُرۡسِلُواْ ٱلنَّاقَةِ فِتۡنَةٗ لَّهُمۡ فَٱرۡتَقِبۡهُمۡ وَٱصۡطَبِرۡ 27
27 Indeed, We will send the she-camel as a trial for them, so [O Salih (peace be upon him )!] watch them, and be patient!
Ayah number : 28
وَنَبِّئۡهُمۡ أَنَّ ٱلۡمَآءَ قِسۡمَةُۢ بَيۡنَهُمۡۖ كُلُّ شِرۡبٖ مُّحۡتَضَرٞ 28
28 And inform them that the water is divided between them (i.e. she-camel and their cattle). Each should drink on its fixed turn.
Ayah number : 29
فَنَادَوۡاْ صَاحِبَهُمۡ فَتَعَاطَىٰ فَعَقَرَ 29
29 So they called their companion (to kill the she-camel) and he struck the she-camel (with a weapon) and then killed her.
Ayah number : 30
فَكَيۡفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ 30
30 So, how (terrible) was My Torment and My Warning?
Ayah number : 31
إِنَّآ أَرۡسَلۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ صَيۡحَةٗ وَٰحِدَةٗ فَكَانُواْ كَهَشِيمِ ٱلۡمُحۡتَظِرِ 31
31 Indeed, We sent against them a single awful cry, and they became like the tiny pieces of dried-up grass of a fence-builder.
Ayah number : 32
وَلَقَدۡ يَسَّرۡنَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ لِلذِّكۡرِ فَهَلۡ مِن مُّدَّكِرٖ 32
32 And indeed, We have made the Quran easy to understand, so is there anyone to seek advice from it?
Ayah number : 33
كَذَّبَتۡ قَوۡمُ لُوطِۢ بِٱلنُّذُرِ 33
33 The people of Lut (peace be upon him ) denied the warners too.
Ayah number : 34
إِنَّآ أَرۡسَلۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ حَاصِبًا إِلَّآ ءَالَ لُوطٖۖ نَّجَّيۡنَٰهُم بِسَحَرٖ 34
34 Indeed, We sent against them a tornado showering stones (which destroyed them all) except the family of Lut (peace be upon him ). We saved them near dawn time,
