Ayah number : 55
فِي مَقۡعَدِ صِدۡقٍ عِندَ مَلِيكٖ مُّقۡتَدِرِۢ 55
55 In the assembly of the truthful (and honourable people) near Powerful Sovereign.
Order in Al-Mushaf : 55
Ayah number : 1
ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ 1
1 The Most Gracious (Allah).
Ayah number : 2
عَلَّمَ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ 2
2 (One of the spiritual Favours of Allah is that) He has taught (man-kind Commands in the) Quran.
Ayah number : 3
خَلَقَ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ 3
3 (One of His physical Favours is that) He created mankind.
Ayah number : 4
عَلَّمَهُ ٱلۡبَيَانَ 4
4 And taught him speech (e.g the child learns mother-tongue auto-matically).
Ayah number : 5
ٱلشَّمۡسُ وَٱلۡقَمَرُ بِحُسۡبَانٖ 5
5 (One of His heavenly Favours is that) the sun and the moon float in their precisely calculated orbits (which produces day and night, heat and cold etc).
Ayah number : 6
وَٱلنَّجۡمُ وَٱلشَّجَرُ يَسۡجُدَانِ 6
6 And the stars and the trees prostrate themselves (to Allah). (And they have many benefits for mankind). (Also see Surah Al-Hajj:18)
Ayah number : 7
وَٱلسَّمَآءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ ٱلۡمِيزَانَ 7
7 And He has raised the heaven high and He has set up the Balance (in the worldly life). (Looking at the high sky we think of the Greatness of Allah. By balance we fulfil the rights of others and avoid many apparent and hidden evils). (Also see Surah Al-Hadid:25)
Ayah number : 8
أَلَّا تَطۡغَوۡاْ فِي ٱلۡمِيزَانِ 8
8 (One way to thank Allah for this favour is) You don’t transgress in weighing.
Ayah number : 9
وَأَقِيمُواْ ٱلۡوَزۡنَ بِٱلۡقِسۡطِ وَلَا تُخۡسِرُواْ ٱلۡمِيزَانَ 9
9 And weigh correctly and don’t make a cheating balance.
Ayah number : 10
وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلۡأَنَامِ 10
10 (And one of the Favours of Allah is that) He spread the earth for His creatures (with many benefits in it).
Ayah number : 11
فِيهَا فَٰكِهَةٞ وَٱلنَّخۡلُ ذَاتُ ٱلۡأَكۡمَامِ 11
11 It has fruits and palm trees which produce dates enclosed in a cover.
Ayah number : 12
وَٱلۡحَبُّ ذُو ٱلۡعَصۡفِ وَٱلرَّيۡحَانُ 12
12 And corn with cover (which is food for men and animals) and there are flowers with fragrance.
Ayah number : 13
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ 13
13 So which of the Favours of your Creator will you both (jinn and men) deny?
Ayah number : 14
خَلَقَ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ مِن صَلۡصَٰلٖ كَٱلۡفَخَّارِ 14
14 Allah created man (Adam) from sounding clay which is like (baked) clay of pottery.
Ayah number : 15
وَخَلَقَ ٱلۡجَآنَّ مِن مَّارِجٖ مِّن نَّارٖ 15
15 And created jinn from a smoke-less flame of fire (and enabled them both to produce children gene-ration after generation).
Ayah number : 16
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ 16
16 So which of the Favours of your Creator will you both (jinn and men) deny?
Ayah number : 17
رَبُّ ٱلۡمَشۡرِقَيۡنِ وَرَبُّ ٱلۡمَغۡرِبَيۡنِ 17
17 He is the Creator of two easts (places of sunrise during early summer and early winter) and the Creator of two wests (Many of our needs are dependent on the begin-ning and the end of the day or night which are produced by the rising and setting of the sun).
Ayah number : 18
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ 18
18 So which of the Favours of your Creator will you both (jinn and men) deny (in spite of abundance and greatness of these Favours)?
Ayah number : 19
مَرَجَ ٱلۡبَحۡرَيۡنِ يَلۡتَقِيَانِ 19
19 Allah made two rivers (salty and fresh water) (apparently) meet-ing each other.
