Order in Al-Mushaf : 54
Ayah number : 35
نِّعۡمَةٗ مِّنۡ عِندِنَاۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نَجۡزِي مَن شَكَرَ 35
35 As a Favour from Us. We reward like this whoever gives thanks to Us (by obeying Us).
Ayah number : 36
وَلَقَدۡ أَنذَرَهُم بَطۡشَتَنَا فَتَمَارَوۡاْ بِٱلنُّذُرِ 36
36 And, indeed, Lut (peace be upon him ) warned them of Our punishment, but they (doubted) and quarrelled with the warner.
Ayah number : 37
وَلَقَدۡ رَٰوَدُوهُ عَن ضَيۡفِهِۦ فَطَمَسۡنَآ أَعۡيُنَهُمۡ فَذُوقُواْ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ 37
37 They demanded for the guests of Lut (peace be upon him ) (with bad intention). So We blinded the eyes of the people of Lut (peace be upon him ), (and Allah said): “So taste My Torment and My Warning.”
Ayah number : 38
وَلَقَدۡ صَبَّحَهُم بُكۡرَةً عَذَابٞ مُّسۡتَقِرّٞ 38
38 And, indeed, an assigned torment struck them early in the morning (and they were des-troyed).
Ayah number : 39
فَذُوقُواْ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ 39
39 “So you taste My Torment and My Warning.”
Ayah number : 40
وَلَقَدۡ يَسَّرۡنَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ لِلذِّكۡرِ فَهَلۡ مِن مُّدَّكِرٖ 40
40 And indeed, We have made the Quran easy to understand, so is there anyone to seek advice from it?
Ayah number : 41
وَلَقَدۡ جَآءَ ءَالَ فِرۡعَوۡنَ ٱلنُّذُرُ 41
41 And, indeed, warners came to the people of Firaun.
Ayah number : 42
كَذَّبُواْ بَِٔايَٰتِنَا كُلِّهَا فَأَخَذۡنَٰهُمۡ أَخۡذَ عَزِيزٖ مُّقۡتَدِرٍ 42
42 They denied all Our Signs. So We seized them like the Seizure of the Almighty, All-Capable.
Ayah number : 43
أَكُفَّارُكُمۡ خَيۡرٞ مِّنۡ أُوْلَٰٓئِكُمۡ أَمۡ لَكُم بَرَآءَةٞ فِي ٱلزُّبُرِ 43
43 (O Quraish of Makkah!) Are your disbelievers better than the disbelievers of these nations? Or have you an immunity (or pardon against Our torment) given in the Scripture?
Ayah number : 44
أَمۡ يَقُولُونَ نَحۡنُ جَمِيعٞ مُّنتَصِرٞ 44
44 Or do they say: “We are a huge army, victorious?”
Ayah number : 45
سَيُهۡزَمُ ٱلۡجَمۡعُ وَيُوَلُّونَ ٱلدُّبُرَ 45
45 Soon this huge army will be defeated and they will flee towards their backs (this foretelling was fulfilled in the battles of Badr and Ahzab. This punishment is in this worldly life).
Ayah number : 46
بَلِ ٱلسَّاعَةُ مَوۡعِدُهُمۡ وَٱلسَّاعَةُ أَدۡهَىٰ وَأَمَرُّ 46
46 (There will be a bigger punish-ment in the Hereafter) In fact, the Day of Resurrection is their promised time, and it will be much more hard and bitter.
Ayah number : 47
إِنَّ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ فِي ضَلَٰلٖ وَسُعُرٖ 47
47 Indeed, the criminals (i.e. dis-believers) have gone astray (in this world) and will be burned (in the Hereafter).
Ayah number : 48
يَوۡمَ يُسۡحَبُونَ فِي ٱلنَّارِ عَلَىٰ وُجُوهِهِمۡ ذُوقُواْ مَسَّ سَقَرَ 48
48 On that Day they will be dragged on their faces in the Fire and (it will be said to them): “Taste the touch of the scorching Fire.”
Ayah number : 49
إِنَّا كُلَّ شَيۡءٍ خَلَقۡنَٰهُ بِقَدَرٖ 49
49 Indeed, We have created all things with Divine Preordainment (i.e. there is a fixed time for every-thing and also for the Day of Resurrection).
Ayah number : 50
وَمَآ أَمۡرُنَآ إِلَّا وَٰحِدَةٞ كَلَمۡحِۢ بِٱلۡبَصَرِ 50
50 (When the time of the Day of Resurrection comes) then Our Command (for its occurrence) will be like the twinkling of an eye.
Ayah number : 51
وَلَقَدۡ أَهۡلَكۡنَآ أَشۡيَاعَكُمۡ فَهَلۡ مِن مُّدَّكِرٖ 51
51 And, indeed, We have des-troyed (many) groups like you before; then is there anyone who will learn a lesson from it?
Ayah number : 52
وَكُلُّ شَيۡءٖ فَعَلُوهُ فِي ٱلزُّبُرِ 52
52 And everything they have done is recorded in (their) Record (of deeds).
Ayah number : 53
وَكُلُّ صَغِيرٖ وَكَبِيرٖ مُّسۡتَطَرٌ 53
53 And everything, small and big is already written down line by line (in Al-Lauh al-Mahfuz).
Ayah number : 54
إِنَّ ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّٰتٖ وَنَهَرٖ 54
54 Indeed, the pious persons will be in the midst of Gardens and Canals (i.e. Paradise).
