بَيۡنَهُمَا بَرۡزَخٞ لَّا يَبۡغِيَانِ 20

20        (In fact) there is a (natural) barrier between them, which they do not transgress. (We have dis-covered this barrier recently). (Also see Surah Al-Furqan:53)

فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ 21

21        So which of the Favours of your Creator will you both deny? 

يَخۡرُجُ مِنۡهُمَا ٱللُّؤۡلُؤُ وَٱلۡمَرۡجَانُ 22

22        Pearls and gems are brought out from both of them.

فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ 23

23        So which of the Favours of your Creator will you both deny? 

وَلَهُ ٱلۡجَوَارِ ٱلۡمُنشَ‍َٔاتُ فِي ٱلۡبَحۡرِ كَٱلۡأَعۡلَٰمِ 24

24        And the ships also belong to Him, which are (tall) like mountains, sailing in the seas (the benefits of ships are obvious).

فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ 25

25        So which of the Favours of your Creator will you both deny?

كُلُّ مَنۡ عَلَيۡهَا فَانٖ 26

26        Whosoever is on it (the earth) will perish (eventually). (You should hurry to thank Allah for His Favours). 

وَيَبۡقَىٰ وَجۡهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو ٱلۡجَلَٰلِ وَٱلۡإِكۡرَامِ 27

27        And the Face of your Creator, full of Majesty and Honour, will remain forever.

فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ 28

28        So which of the Favours of your Creator will you both deny?

يَسۡ‍َٔلُهُۥ مَن فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ كُلَّ يَوۡمٍ هُوَ فِي شَأۡنٖ 29

29        Whosoever is in the heavens and on the earth begs Him for his needs. (Even the residents of heaven need His Mercy). Every day (i.e. all the time) He is engaged in some affairs (e.g. giving life or death to others, giving provision or children and honour or disgrace etc).

فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ 30

30        So which of the Favours of your Creator will you both deny?

سَنَفۡرُغُ لَكُمۡ أَيُّهَ ٱلثَّقَلَانِ 31

31        (Don’t think that after you perish, the game is over. You will be reborn and accountability will take place). We shall soon be free to pay attention to you (i.e. to take account), O you both, jinn and men!

فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ 32

32        So which of the Favours of your Creator will you both deny?

يَٰمَعۡشَرَ ٱلۡجِنِّ وَٱلۡإِنسِ إِنِ ٱسۡتَطَعۡتُمۡ أَن تَنفُذُواْ مِنۡ أَقۡطَارِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَٱنفُذُواْۚ لَا تَنفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلۡطَٰنٖ 33

33        O assembly of jinn and men! If you have the power to pass beyond the limits of the heavens and the earth, then go ahead, try it. But you will never be able to pass them except with authority (from Allah). (It is a Favour of Allah to guide us about it).

فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ 34

34        So which of the Favours of your Creator will you both deny?

يُرۡسَلُ عَلَيۡكُمَا شُوَاظٞ مِّن نَّارٖ وَنُحَاسٞ فَلَا تَنتَصِرَانِ 35

35        (Just like you will be helpless at the time of account, similarly be helpless at the time of torment in the Hereafter). You will both be inflicted with smokeless flames of fire and molten copper and you will not be able to defend yourselves. (This guidance is also a Favour of Allah). 

فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ 36

36        So which of the Favours of your Creator will you both deny?

فَإِذَا ٱنشَقَّتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتۡ وَرۡدَةٗ كَٱلدِّهَانِ 37

37        (The Day of Resurrection will be just horrible. When it occurs) then the sky will split apart and it will become like red oil (or red hide). (This guidance is a Favour of Allah).

فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ 38

38        So which of the Favours of your Creator will you both deny?

فَيَوۡمَئِذٖ لَّا يُسۡ‍َٔلُ عَن ذَنۢبِهِۦٓ إِنسٞ وَلَا جَآنّٞ 39

39        So on that Day no question will be asked from men or jinn regarding their sins (since Allah already knows the good people and the criminals).
