فَإِنَّكَ لَا تُسۡمِعُ ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰ وَلَا تُسۡمِعُ ٱلصُّمَّ ٱلدُّعَآءَ إِذَا وَلَّوۡاْ مُدۡبِرِينَ 52

52 [O Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him)!] Indeed, you cannot make the dead (i.e. disbelievers) to hear, nor you can make the deaf hear the call, especially when they turn their backs and walk away (from you).

وَمَآ أَنتَ بِهَٰدِ ٱلۡعُمۡيِ عَن ضَلَٰلَتِهِمۡۖ إِن تُسۡمِعُ إِلَّا مَن يُؤۡمِنُ بِ‍َٔايَٰتِنَا فَهُم مُّسۡلِمُونَ 53

53 [O Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him)!] And you cannot guide the blind person from his ignorance; you can make to hear only those who believe in Our revelations, hence only they submit themselves (to Al-lah) as Muslims.

۞ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَكُم مِّن ضَعۡفٖ ثُمَّ جَعَلَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ ضَعۡفٖ قُوَّةٗ ثُمَّ جَعَلَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ قُوَّةٖ ضَعۡفٗا وَشَيۡبَةٗۚ يَخۡلُقُ مَا يَشَآءُۚ وَهُوَ ٱلۡعَلِيمُ ٱلۡقَدِيرُ 54

54  Allah created you in (a state of) weakness, then granted you strength after weakness, then after strength gave (you) weakness, and old age. He creates what He wills. And He is the All-Knowing, the All-Powerful.

وَيَوۡمَ تَقُومُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ يُقۡسِمُ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ مَا لَبِثُواْ غَيۡرَ سَاعَةٖۚ كَذَٰلِكَ كَانُواْ يُؤۡفَكُونَ 55

55 And when the Day of Resurrection will occur, the criminals will swear that they did not stay (in the world) except an hour or so. Thus they remained turned away (from the truth in the worldly life).

وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ ٱلۡعِلۡمَ وَٱلۡإِيمَٰنَ لَقَدۡ لَبِثۡتُمۡ فِي كِتَٰبِ ٱللَّهِ إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ ٱلۡبَعۡثِۖ فَهَٰذَا يَوۡمُ ٱلۡبَعۡثِ وَلَٰكِنَّكُمۡ كُنتُمۡ لَا تَعۡلَمُونَ 56

56 And those who have the (bene-ficial) knowledge and faith will say: “Indeed, you have stayed there, according to the Decree of Allah, until the Day of Resur-rection. So this is the Day of Resurrection but you did not believe in it (you used to demand it by mocking at it).”

فَيَوۡمَئِذٖ لَّا يَنفَعُ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ مَعۡذِرَتُهُمۡ وَلَا هُمۡ يُسۡتَعۡتَبُونَ 57

57 Hence, on that Day, no excuse of the wrong-doers will benefit them, and nor will they be allowed to seek Allah’s Pleasure through repentance.

وَلَقَدۡ ضَرَبۡنَا لِلنَّاسِ فِي هَٰذَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانِ مِن كُلِّ مَثَلٖۚ وَلَئِن جِئۡتَهُم بِ‍َٔايَةٖ لَّيَقُولَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓاْ إِنۡ أَنتُمۡ إِلَّا مُبۡطِلُونَ 58

58 Indeed, We have described in the Quran all kinds of examples. [O Muham-mad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him)!] Whatever sign (from the Quran or their demanded miracles) you bring to them, the disbelievers will surely say: “You are a plain liar.” 

كَذَٰلِكَ يَطۡبَعُ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ 59

59 Thus Allah has put a seal on the hearts of those who are not keen to know (the proofs).

فَٱصۡبِرۡ إِنَّ وَعۡدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقّٞۖ وَلَا يَسۡتَخِفَّنَّكَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُوقِنُونَ 60

60 [O Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him)!] So be pa-tient. Indeed, the Promise of Allah is true, and let not the disbelievers make you somewhat impatient (i.e. remain patient even if they make you angry).

الٓمٓ 1

1 Alif-Lam-Mim (Allah, Alone, knows their meanings).

تِلۡكَ ءَايَٰتُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ ٱلۡحَكِيمِ 2

2 These are the Verses of the Book, full of wisdom.

هُدٗى وَرَحۡمَةٗ لِّلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ 3

3 (It is) a guidance and a Mercy (from Allah) for the good-doers.

ٱلَّذِينَ يُقِيمُونَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَيُؤۡتُونَ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَهُم بِٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ هُمۡ يُوقِنُونَ 4

4 Those who perform Salat and give the poor-due and have firm faith in the Hereafter.

أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ عَلَىٰ هُدٗى مِّن رَّبِّهِمۡۖ وَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلۡمُفۡلِحُونَ 5

5 Those are on the guidance from their Creator and they are the successful.

وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يَشۡتَرِي لَهۡوَ ٱلۡحَدِيثِ لِيُضِلَّ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ بِغَيۡرِ عِلۡمٖ وَيَتَّخِذَهَا هُزُوًاۚ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمۡ عَذَابٞ مُّهِينٞ 6

6 And among the people is he who (ignores the Quran and) purchases the vain talk to mislead (men) from the Path of Allah without knowledge and mocks (at the Quran). Such people will have humiliating torment (in the Hell-Fire). 

وَإِذَا تُتۡلَىٰ عَلَيۡهِ ءَايَٰتُنَا وَلَّىٰ مُسۡتَكۡبِرٗا كَأَن لَّمۡ يَسۡمَعۡهَا كَأَنَّ فِيٓ أُذُنَيۡهِ وَقۡرٗاۖ فَبَشِّرۡهُ بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ 7

7 And when Our Verses are recited to him, he turns away with arrogance as if he did not hear them, as if there is deafness in his ear. So inform him that there is a painful torment for him.

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ لَهُمۡ جَنَّٰتُ ٱلنَّعِيمِ 8

8 Indeed, those who believe and do good deeds, there are Gardens of Delight (Paradise) for them.

خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَاۖ وَعۡدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقّٗاۚ وَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلۡحَكِيمُ 9

9 To reside there forever. It is a Promise of Allah in truth. And He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.

خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ بِغَيۡرِ عَمَدٖ تَرَوۡنَهَاۖ وَأَلۡقَىٰ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ رَوَٰسِيَ أَن تَمِيدَ بِكُمۡ وَبَثَّ فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ دَآبَّةٖۚ وَأَنزَلۡنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءٗ فَأَنۢبَتۡنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوۡجٖ كَرِيمٍ 10

10 He has created the heavens without any pillars that you see, and has placed firm mountains on the earth lest it should shake with you. And He has spread all kinds of (living) creatures in the land. And We send down the rainwater from the sky, then We grow in the earth every kind of lovely plants in pairs. (Also see 21:31, 31:10, 77:27, 78:7 and 79:32). 

هَٰذَا خَلۡقُ ٱللَّهِ فَأَرُونِي مَاذَا خَلَقَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن دُونِهِۦۚ بَلِ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ فِي ضَلَٰلٖ مُّبِينٖ 11

11 This is the creation of Allah. So show Me that which those besides Allah have created. In fact, the wrong-doers are in an obvious error.
