Order in Al-Mushaf : 56
Ayah number : 62
وَلَقَدۡ عَلِمۡتُمُ ٱلنَّشۡأَةَ ٱلۡأُولَىٰ فَلَوۡلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ 62
62 You surely know your first creation (which was by Our Power), then why don’t you learn a lesson from it? (i.e. thank Allah for this Favour)
Ayah number : 63
أَفَرَءَيۡتُم مَّا تَحۡرُثُونَ 63
63 (Here is the second warning) Tell Me about (the seed) that you sow (in the ground).
Ayah number : 64
ءَأَنتُمۡ تَزۡرَعُونَهُۥٓ أَمۡ نَحۡنُ ٱلزَّٰرِعُونَ 64
64 Do you make it grow, or are We the Grower? (i.e. true, you put the seed in the ground, but you have nothing to do with bringing its shoot out of the ground and to grow it as a tree)
Ayah number : 65
لَوۡ نَشَآءُ لَجَعَلۡنَٰهُ حُطَٰمٗا فَظَلۡتُمۡ تَفَكَّهُونَ 65
65 (And for you to benefit from this fully grown tree also depends upon Our Power and Wisdom) If We willed, We could break it into pieces and you will just be left regretful.
Ayah number : 66
إِنَّا لَمُغۡرَمُونَ 66
66 (Saying:) “We are, indeed, ruined totally (and even lost the initial investment).”
Ayah number : 67
بَلۡ نَحۡنُ مَحۡرُومُونَ 67
67 “In fact, we are absolutely deprived.”
Ayah number : 68
أَفَرَءَيۡتُمُ ٱلۡمَآءَ ٱلَّذِي تَشۡرَبُونَ 68
68 (Here is the third warning) Tell Me about the water that you drink.
Ayah number : 69
ءَأَنتُمۡ أَنزَلۡتُمُوهُ مِنَ ٱلۡمُزۡنِ أَمۡ نَحۡنُ ٱلۡمُنزِلُونَ 69
69 Do you bring it down from the clouds or do We cause it to come down?
Ayah number : 70
لَوۡ نَشَآءُ جَعَلۡنَٰهُ أُجَاجٗا فَلَوۡلَا تَشۡكُرُونَ 70
70 If We willed, We could have made it bitter (and undrinkable), so why don’t you thank (Allah)? (This Verse also describes the water cycle which we discovered recently)
Ayah number : 71
أَفَرَءَيۡتُمُ ٱلنَّارَ ٱلَّتِي تُورُونَ 71
71 (Here is the fourth warning) Tell Me about the fire which you kindle.
Ayah number : 72
ءَأَنتُمۡ أَنشَأۡتُمۡ شَجَرَتَهَآ أَمۡ نَحۡنُ ٱلۡمُنشُِٔونَ 72
72 Do you cause the tree to grow (which is the source of fire) or are We the Grower?
Ayah number : 73
نَحۡنُ جَعَلۡنَٰهَا تَذۡكِرَةٗ وَمَتَٰعٗا لِّلۡمُقۡوِينَ 73
73 We made it (the fire) a Reminder (of the Hereafter) and made it beneficial for travellers.
Ayah number : 74
فَسَبِّحۡ بِٱسۡمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلۡعَظِيمِ 74
74 Hence, you should glorify with praises the Name of your Creator, the Most Great.
Ayah number : 75
۞فَلَآ أُقۡسِمُ بِمَوَٰقِعِ ٱلنُّجُومِ 75
75 So I swear by the setting of the stars.
Ayah number : 76
وَإِنَّهُۥ لَقَسَمٞ لَّوۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ عَظِيمٌ 76
76 And, indeed, it is a great oath, if you know.
Ayah number : 77
إِنَّهُۥ لَقُرۡءَانٞ كَرِيمٞ 77
77 That, indeed, it is a Noble Quran.
Ayah number : 78
فِي كِتَٰبٖ مَّكۡنُونٖ 78
78 Which is in a Book fully pro-tected (i.e. Al-Lawh Al-Mahfuz).
Ayah number : 79
لَّا يَمَسُّهُۥٓ إِلَّا ٱلۡمُطَهَّرُونَ 79
79 None can touch that (Book with Allah) but the purified ones (i.e. the angels).
Ayah number : 80
تَنزِيلٞ مِّن رَّبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ 80
80 (The Quran is) a revelation from the Creator of the universe.
Ayah number : 81
أَفَبِهَٰذَا ٱلۡحَدِيثِ أَنتُم مُّدۡهِنُونَ 81
81 Do you consider this speech (i.e. the Quran) just a casual con-versation (and not important enough to be believed)?
