Order in Al-Mushaf : 78
Ayah number : 9
وَجَعَلۡنَا نَوۡمَكُمۡ سُبَاتٗا 9
9 And We have made your sleep means of rest and comfort for you.
Ayah number : 10
وَجَعَلۡنَا ٱلَّيۡلَ لِبَاسٗا 10
10 And We have made night as a covering or a cloak (i.e. provided suitable environment for sleeping),
Ayah number : 11
وَجَعَلۡنَا ٱلنَّهَارَ مَعَاشٗا 11
11 And We have made the day to seek livelihood.
Ayah number : 12
وَبَنَيۡنَا فَوۡقَكُمۡ سَبۡعٗا شِدَادٗا 12
12 And We have built above you seven strong (skies),
Ayah number : 13
وَجَعَلۡنَا سِرَاجٗا وَهَّاجٗا 13
13 And We have made a shining lamp (i.e. the sun which has its own light. Allah informed about it centuries ago, that the sun has its own light but scientists have discovered it recently). (Also see 10:5, 25:61 and 71:16)
Ayah number : 14
وَأَنزَلۡنَا مِنَ ٱلۡمُعۡصِرَٰتِ مَآءٗ ثَجَّاجٗا 14
14 And We sent down plenty of water from water-laden clouds.
Ayah number : 15
لِّنُخۡرِجَ بِهِۦ حَبّٗا وَنَبَاتٗا 15
15 So that We may produce with it corn and vegetables,
Ayah number : 16
وَجَنَّٰتٍ أَلۡفَافًا 16
16 And gardens of dense growth.
Ayah number : 17
إِنَّ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡفَصۡلِ كَانَ مِيقَٰتٗا 17
17 Indeed, the Day of Judgement is a fixed time,
Ayah number : 18
يَوۡمَ يُنفَخُ فِي ٱلصُّورِ فَتَأۡتُونَ أَفۡوَاجٗا 18
18 The Day when the Trumpet will be blown and you shall come in groups.
Ayah number : 19
وَفُتِحَتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتۡ أَبۡوَٰبٗا 19
19 And the sky shall be opened, and it will become as gates,
Ayah number : 20
وَسُيِّرَتِ ٱلۡجِبَالُ فَكَانَتۡ سَرَابًا 20
20 And the mountains shall move from their locations and shall become shining sand (or a mirage).
Ayah number : 21
إِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ كَانَتۡ مِرۡصَادٗا 21
21 Indeed, Hell is anxiously waiting (i.e. angels appointed around Hell are waiting for the dis-believers).
Ayah number : 22
لِّلطَّٰغِينَ مََٔابٗا 22
22 It is the residence for the trans-gressors.
Ayah number : 23
لَّٰبِثِينَ فِيهَآ أَحۡقَابٗا 23
23 They will reside there for ages.
Ayah number : 24
لَّا يَذُوقُونَ فِيهَا بَرۡدٗا وَلَا شَرَابًا 24
24 They will not taste anything cool (for comfort) nor (cool water to) drink.
Ayah number : 25
إِلَّا حَمِيمٗا وَغَسَّاقٗا 25
25 Except boiling water and pus –
Ayah number : 26
جَزَآءٗ وِفَاقًا 26
26 A proper and full reward (for their evil deeds).
Ayah number : 27
إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُواْ لَا يَرۡجُونَ حِسَابٗا 27
27 Indeed, they did not expect any accountability.
Ayah number : 28
وَكَذَّبُواْ بَِٔايَٰتِنَا كِذَّابٗا 28
28 And they openly and boldly denied Our revelations.
