Order in Al-Mushaf : 79
Ayah number : 29
وَأَغۡطَشَ لَيۡلَهَا وَأَخۡرَجَ ضُحَىٰهَا 29
29 And He made its night dark and made its morning (bright).
Ayah number : 30
وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ بَعۡدَ ذَٰلِكَ دَحَىٰهَآ 30
30 And, moreover, He spread out the earth.
Ayah number : 31
أَخۡرَجَ مِنۡهَا مَآءَهَا وَمَرۡعَىٰهَا 31
31 And brought out from it water and fodder.
Ayah number : 32
وَٱلۡجِبَالَ أَرۡسَىٰهَا 32
32 And He fixed the mountains (on it) firmly.
Ayah number : 33
مَتَٰعٗا لَّكُمۡ وَلِأَنۡعَٰمِكُمۡ 33
33 For your benefit and for the benefit of your animals.
Ayah number : 34
فَإِذَا جَآءَتِ ٱلطَّآمَّةُ ٱلۡكُبۡرَىٰ 34
34 So when the greatest disaster will come (i.e. the Day of Judge-ment).
Ayah number : 35
يَوۡمَ يَتَذَكَّرُ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ مَا سَعَىٰ 35
35 The Day when man shall recall to his mind what he strove for.
Ayah number : 36
وَبُرِّزَتِ ٱلۡجَحِيمُ لِمَن يَرَىٰ 36
36 And Hell-Fire will be put in the view of everyone.
Ayah number : 37
فَأَمَّا مَن طَغَىٰ 37
37 Then he who transgressed,
Ayah number : 38
وَءَاثَرَ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا 38
38 And preferred the worldly life,
Ayah number : 39
فَإِنَّ ٱلۡجَحِيمَ هِيَ ٱلۡمَأۡوَىٰ 39
39 Indeed, his residence will be Hell-Fire.
Ayah number : 40
وَأَمَّا مَنۡ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ وَنَهَى ٱلنَّفۡسَ عَنِ ٱلۡهَوَىٰ 40
40 And he who feared standing before his Creator and withheld himself from worldly lusts.
Ayah number : 41
فَإِنَّ ٱلۡجَنَّةَ هِيَ ٱلۡمَأۡوَىٰ 41
41 Then, indeed, Paradise will be his residence.
Ayah number : 42
يَسَۡٔلُونَكَ عَنِ ٱلسَّاعَةِ أَيَّانَ مُرۡسَىٰهَا 42
42 [O Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him)!] They ask you about the time of the occurrence of the Day of Judgement.
Ayah number : 43
فِيمَ أَنتَ مِن ذِكۡرَىٰهَآ 43
43 You do not have to talk about it (since you do not know its timing).
Ayah number : 44
إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ مُنتَهَىٰهَآ 44
44 The total extent of its know-ledge belongs to Allah Alone.
Ayah number : 45
إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُنذِرُ مَن يَخۡشَىٰهَا 45
45 [O Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him)!] You are only a warner for those who fear it.
Ayah number : 46
كَأَنَّهُمۡ يَوۡمَ يَرَوۡنَهَا لَمۡ يَلۡبَثُوٓاْ إِلَّا عَشِيَّةً أَوۡ ضُحَىٰهَا 46
46 The Day they will see it, it will appear to them that they lived (in this world) only the last or the first part of a day.
Order in Al-Mushaf : 80
Ayah number : 1
عَبَسَ وَتَوَلَّىٰٓ 1
1 [Prophet Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him)] frowned and turned away (his face).
Ayah number : 2
أَن جَآءَهُ ٱلۡأَعۡمَىٰ 2
2 Simply because a blind man (Ibn Umm Maktum) came [to the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him), while he was preaching to the chiefs of Quraish].
