Order in Al-Mushaf : 80
Ayah number : 3
وَمَا يُدۡرِيكَ لَعَلَّهُۥ يَزَّكَّىٰٓ 3
3 And you have no idea whether he would have become more pure (through interaction with you).
Ayah number : 4
أَوۡ يَذَّكَّرُ فَتَنفَعَهُ ٱلذِّكۡرَىٰٓ 4
4 Or he might have received some advice which would have benefited him.
Ayah number : 5
أَمَّا مَنِ ٱسۡتَغۡنَىٰ 5
5 He who ignores (your bene-ficial knowledge). Or he who is rich.
Ayah number : 6
فَأَنتَ لَهُۥ تَصَدَّىٰ 6
6 You pay full attention to them.
Ayah number : 7
وَمَا عَلَيۡكَ أَلَّا يَزَّكَّىٰ 7
7 Although there is no blame on you even if he does not purify himself (from sins).
Ayah number : 8
وَأَمَّا مَن جَآءَكَ يَسۡعَىٰ 8
8 And he who came to you running (with love for religious knowledge).
Ayah number : 9
وَهُوَ يَخۡشَىٰ 9
9 And he is afraid (of Allah).
Ayah number : 10
فَأَنتَ عَنۡهُ تَلَهَّىٰ 10
10 Then you neglected him.
Ayah number : 11
كَلَّآ إِنَّهَا تَذۡكِرَةٞ 11
11 It is not good (on your part). Indeed, it (the Quran) is full of (pieces of) ad-vice.
Ayah number : 12
فَمَن شَآءَ ذَكَرَهُۥ 12
12 Whosoever wills, may seek advice from it.
Ayah number : 13
فِي صُحُفٖ مُّكَرَّمَةٖ 13
13 It is (preserved) in Records held in (great) honour (i.e. Al-Lawh Al-Mahfuz).
Ayah number : 14
مَّرۡفُوعَةٖ مُّطَهَّرَةِۢ 14
14 It is exalted (in dignity), puri-fied.
Ayah number : 15
بِأَيۡدِي سَفَرَةٖ 15
15 In the hands of the angels.
Ayah number : 16
كِرَامِۢ بَرَرَةٖ 16
16 (Those angels are) noble and obedient.
Ayah number : 17
قُتِلَ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ مَآ أَكۡفَرَهُۥ 17
17 May man be destroyed, how ungrateful he is!
Ayah number : 18
مِنۡ أَيِّ شَيۡءٍ خَلَقَهُۥ 18
18 (Does he not notice) from what (worthless) thing He has created him?
Ayah number : 19
مِن نُّطۡفَةٍ خَلَقَهُۥ فَقَدَّرَهُۥ 19
19 (Answer to that is) From male and female semen drops. (He) created him (in stages) and then made him in due proportion.
Ayah number : 20
ثُمَّ ٱلسَّبِيلَ يَسَّرَهُۥ 20
20 Then He made the paths of good and evil clear to him. Or, then Allah made the path (for his exit from his mother’s womb) easy.
Ayah number : 21
ثُمَّ أَمَاتَهُۥ فَأَقۡبَرَهُۥ 21
21 Then He causes him death, then puts him in the grave (to give him respect, otherwise animals and birds would eat up his body).
Ayah number : 22
ثُمَّ إِذَا شَآءَ أَنشَرَهُۥ 22
22 Then when He wills, He will resurrect him again.
