Order in Al-Mushaf : 79
Ayah number : 9
أَبۡصَٰرُهَا خَٰشِعَةٞ 9
9 That Day, (many) hearts will be beating fast (due to the horrors of that Day).
Ayah number : 10
يَقُولُونَ أَءِنَّا لَمَرۡدُودُونَ فِي ٱلۡحَافِرَةِ 10
10 Their glances will be lowered or humbled (due to fear or shame).
Ayah number : 11
أَءِذَا كُنَّا عِظَٰمٗا نَّخِرَةٗ 11
11 (The disbelievers deny the Hereafter and) they say: “Shall we really be returned to (our) former state (of life)?”
Ayah number : 12
قَالُواْ تِلۡكَ إِذٗا كَرَّةٌ خَاسِرَةٞ 12
12 They say: “It would, in that case, be a return with sheer loss.”
Ayah number : 13
فَإِنَّمَا هِيَ زَجۡرَةٞ وَٰحِدَةٞ 13
13 So it will be only a single shout (i.e. second blowing of the Trumpet).
Ayah number : 14
فَإِذَا هُم بِٱلسَّاهِرَةِ 14
14 When, suddenly, they would find themselves on the surface of the earth (alive again).
Ayah number : 15
هَلۡ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ مُوسَىٰٓ 15
15 Has the story of Musa ( peace be upon him ) reached you?
Ayah number : 16
إِذۡ نَادَىٰهُ رَبُّهُۥ بِٱلۡوَادِ ٱلۡمُقَدَّسِ طُوًى 16
16 When his Creator called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa,
Ayah number : 17
ٱذۡهَبۡ إِلَىٰ فِرۡعَوۡنَ إِنَّهُۥ طَغَىٰ 17
17 (Instructing him:) “Go to Firaun. Indeed, he has transgressed (a lot).”
Ayah number : 18
فَقُلۡ هَل لَّكَ إِلَىٰٓ أَن تَزَكَّىٰ 18
18 So say (to him): “Would you like to purify yourself (from the sin of disbelief)?”
Ayah number : 19
وَأَهۡدِيَكَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَتَخۡشَىٰ 19
19 “And I would like to guide you to your Creator so that you should start fearing Him.”
Ayah number : 20
فَأَرَىٰهُ ٱلۡأٓيَةَ ٱلۡكُبۡرَىٰ 20
20 Then Musa ( peace be upon him ) showed him the great sign (miracles).
Ayah number : 21
فَكَذَّبَ وَعَصَىٰ 21
21 But (Firaun) denied and dis-obeyed.
Ayah number : 22
ثُمَّ أَدۡبَرَ يَسۡعَىٰ 22
22 Then he turned his back and strove hard (against the truth).
Ayah number : 23
فَحَشَرَ فَنَادَىٰ 23
23 So he gathered (his people) and then announced loudly,
Ayah number : 24
فَقَالَ أَنَا۠ رَبُّكُمُ ٱلۡأَعۡلَىٰ 24
24 Then he said: “I am your creator, most high.”
Ayah number : 25
فَأَخَذَهُ ٱللَّهُ نَكَالَ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ وَٱلۡأُولَىٰٓ 25
25 Hence, Allah seized him with the punishment of the Hereafter and with the punishment of this world.
Ayah number : 26
إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَعِبۡرَةٗ لِّمَن يَخۡشَىٰٓ 26
26 Indeed, there is a lesson in it for those who fear (Allah).
Ayah number : 27
ءَأَنتُمۡ أَشَدُّ خَلۡقًا أَمِ ٱلسَّمَآءُۚ بَنَىٰهَا 27
27 Is it more difficult to create you or the sky which He constructed? (Also see Surah Ghafir:57)
Ayah number : 28
رَفَعَ سَمۡكَهَا فَسَوَّىٰهَا 28
28 He raised its height, and then perfected it.
