Order in Al-Mushaf : 15
Ayah number : 79
فَٱنتَقَمۡنَا مِنۡهُمۡ وَإِنَّهُمَا لَبِإِمَامٖ مُّبِينٖ 79
79 So, We took revenge from them. And both these towns are situated on a visible and well-known road.
Ayah number : 80
وَلَقَدۡ كَذَّبَ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلۡحِجۡرِ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ 80
80 And, verily, the residents of the rocky area (i.e. Thamud people) denied the messengers.(i.e. when they deny one messenger they, in fact, are denying all the messengers).
Ayah number : 81
وَءَاتَيۡنَٰهُمۡ ءَايَٰتِنَا فَكَانُواْ عَنۡهَا مُعۡرِضِينَ 81
81 And We gave them Our signs, but they turned away from them.
Ayah number : 82
وَكَانُواْ يَنۡحِتُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡجِبَالِ بُيُوتًا ءَامِنِينَ 82
82 And they used to make their homes by cutting mountains for security (from all disasters).
Ayah number : 83
فَأَخَذَتۡهُمُ ٱلصَّيۡحَةُ مُصۡبِحِينَ 83
83 So a torment in the form of an awful cry seized them in the early morning.
Ayah number : 84
فَمَآ أَغۡنَىٰ عَنۡهُم مَّا كَانُواْ يَكۡسِبُونَ 84
84 Then their (worldly) actions and plans did not benefit them.
Ayah number : 85
وَمَا خَلَقۡنَا ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَآ إِلَّا بِٱلۡحَقِّۗ وَإِنَّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ لَأٓتِيَةٞۖ فَٱصۡفَحِ ٱلصَّفۡحَ ٱلۡجَمِيلَ 85
85 And We did not create the skies and the earth and all that is between them except with wisdom (and benefits). And indeed, the Day of Judgement will come. So overlook (their faults) with graciousness (this was before the permission for Jihad).
Ayah number : 86
إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ ٱلۡخَلَّٰقُ ٱلۡعَلِيمُ 86
86 Indeed, your, Creator is the All-Knowing Creator.
Ayah number : 87
وَلَقَدۡ ءَاتَيۡنَٰكَ سَبۡعٗا مِّنَ ٱلۡمَثَانِي وَٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ ٱلۡعَظِيمَ 87
87 And, indeed, We have given you seven often repeated Verses (i.e. Surah Al-Fatihah) and the Grand Quran.
Ayah number : 88
لَا تَمُدَّنَّ عَيۡنَيۡكَ إِلَىٰ مَا مَتَّعۡنَا بِهِۦٓ أَزۡوَٰجٗا مِّنۡهُمۡ وَلَا تَحۡزَنۡ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَٱخۡفِضۡ جَنَاحَكَ لِلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ 88
88 [O Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him)!] Don’t even care to look towards the (worldly) things which We have provided to some of the disbelievers. (They will be separated from them soon). And don’t be sad about them (due to their disbelief). And lower your wings for the believers (i.e. be gracious and courteous to them).
Ayah number : 89
وَقُلۡ إِنِّيٓ أَنَا ٱلنَّذِيرُ ٱلۡمُبِينُ 89
89 And [O Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him)!] say: “I am, indeed, an obvious warner.”
Ayah number : 90
كَمَآ أَنزَلۡنَا عَلَى ٱلۡمُقۡتَسِمِينَ 90
90 Just like how We inflicted (the torment) on those who divided (Book of Allah) into various parts.
Ayah number : 91
ٱلَّذِينَ جَعَلُواْ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ عِضِينَ 91
91 Who had made this Quran into parts (i.e. believed in one part and disbelieved in the other part)-Tabari.
Ayah number : 92
فَوَرَبِّكَ لَنَسَۡٔلَنَّهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِينَ 92
92 So, by your Creator [O Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him)!], We shall, certainly, call all of them to account (on the Day of Judgement).
Ayah number : 93
عَمَّا كَانُواْ يَعۡمَلُونَ 93
93 Regarding all that which they used to do.
Ayah number : 94
فَٱصۡدَعۡ بِمَا تُؤۡمَرُ وَأَعۡرِضۡ عَنِ ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ 94
94 So announce (the Message) openly what you have been com-manded and turn away from the idolaters.
Ayah number : 95
إِنَّا كَفَيۡنَٰكَ ٱلۡمُسۡتَهۡزِءِينَ 95
95 We are enough (to take the revenge) from those who mock at you.
Ayah number : 96
ٱلَّذِينَ يَجۡعَلُونَ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَۚ فَسَوۡفَ يَعۡلَمُونَ 96
96 Those who make partners in worship with Allah. So they will soon see (the result of it).
Ayah number : 97
وَلَقَدۡ نَعۡلَمُ أَنَّكَ يَضِيقُ صَدۡرُكَ بِمَا يَقُولُونَ 97
97 And We do know that you feel bad in your heart about what they say. (It is a natural feeling).
Ayah number : 98
فَسَبِّحۡ بِحَمۡدِ رَبِّكَ وَكُن مِّنَ ٱلسَّٰجِدِينَ 98
98 (Its spiritual treatment is) so (you have to) glorify the praise of your Creator and be of them who prostrate themselves (i.e. perform Salat).
