Order in Al-Mushaf : 87
Ayah number : 13
ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحۡيَىٰ 13
13 He will neither die (to be at rest) nor live (a pleasant life) in it.
Ayah number : 14
قَدۡ أَفۡلَحَ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ 14
14 Indeed, whosoever purifies him-self (from disbelief, sins) is truly successful.
Ayah number : 15
وَذَكَرَ ٱسۡمَ رَبِّهِۦ فَصَلَّىٰ 15
15 And glorifies the Name of his Creator and offers prayers.
Ayah number : 16
بَلۡ تُؤۡثِرُونَ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا 16
16 In fact, you prefer this worldly life.
Ayah number : 17
وَٱلۡأٓخِرَةُ خَيۡرٞ وَأَبۡقَىٰٓ 17
17 And the Hereafter is better and has more lasting (benefits).
Ayah number : 18
إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَفِي ٱلصُّحُفِ ٱلۡأُولَىٰ 18
18 (This is not the claim of the Quran only). Indeed, this (reminder) is in the former Scriptures too –
Ayah number : 19
صُحُفِ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ 19
19 The Scriptures of Ibrahim ( peace be upon him ) and Musa ( peace be upon him ).
Order in Al-Mushaf : 88
Ayah number : 1
هَلۡ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ٱلۡغَٰشِيَةِ 1
1 Has the news reached you about that which will cover every-one (with its horrors, i.e. the Day of Resurrection).
Ayah number : 2
وُجُوهٞ يَوۡمَئِذٍ خَٰشِعَةٌ 2
2 On that Day, some faces will be disgraced
Ayah number : 3
عَامِلَةٞ نَّاصِبَةٞ 3
3 Labouring (hard in the worldly life) and fatigued (in the Hereafter with dis-grace).
Ayah number : 4
تَصۡلَىٰ نَارًا حَامِيَةٗ 4
4 They will enter an extremely hot Fire
Ayah number : 5
تُسۡقَىٰ مِنۡ عَيۡنٍ ءَانِيَةٖ 5
5 They will be made to drink from a spring which is extremely hot.
Ayah number : 6
لَّيۡسَ لَهُمۡ طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِن ضَرِيعٖ 6
6 They will have no food except bitter thorny trees.
Ayah number : 7
لَّا يُسۡمِنُ وَلَا يُغۡنِي مِن جُوعٖ 7
7 It will neither nourish (the body) nor satisfy hunger.
Ayah number : 8
وُجُوهٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ نَّاعِمَةٞ 8
8 On that Day some faces will be fresh,
Ayah number : 9
لِّسَعۡيِهَا رَاضِيَةٞ 9
9 Highly pleased with their endeavours.
Ayah number : 10
فِي جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٖ 10
10 they will be in lofty paradise.
Ayah number : 11
لَّا تَسۡمَعُ فِيهَا لَٰغِيَةٗ 11
11 They shall not hear any idle gossip.
Ayah number : 12
فِيهَا عَيۡنٞ جَارِيَةٞ 12
12 There will be a spring with running water.
فِيهَا سُرُرٞ مَّرۡفُوعَةٞ 13
13 There will be raised thrones.
