Order in Al-Mushaf : 86
Ayah number : 10
فَمَا لَهُۥ مِن قُوَّةٖ وَلَا نَاصِرٖ 10
10 Then he will have no power (to oppose), nor any helper (to get rid of the punishment).
Ayah number : 11
وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلرَّجۡعِ 11
11 And by the sky from which rain falls again and again.
Ayah number : 12
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ ذَاتِ ٱلصَّدۡعِ 12
12 And by the earth which splits (at the time of growth of the plants).
Ayah number : 13
إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوۡلٞ فَصۡلٞ 13
13 Indeed, it (i.e. Quran) makes absolute distinction (between truth and falsehood).
Ayah number : 14
وَمَا هُوَ بِٱلۡهَزۡلِ 14
14 And it is not (a useless) thing for mere amusement.
Ayah number : 15
إِنَّهُمۡ يَكِيدُونَ كَيۡدٗا 15
15 Indeed, they (the disbelievers) are making a strategy.
Ayah number : 16
وَأَكِيدُ كَيۡدٗا 16
16 [O Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him)! don’t worry.] I am also making a strategy (against the disbelievers).
Ayah number : 17
فَمَهِّلِ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ أَمۡهِلۡهُمۡ رُوَيۡدَۢا 17
17 Hence, postpone the action against the disbelievers and leave them alone for a short while. (Also see Surah Al-Araf:182 and 183).
Order in Al-Mushaf : 87
Ayah number : 1
سَبِّحِ ٱسۡمَ رَبِّكَ ٱلۡأَعۡلَى 1
1 Glorify the Name of your Creator, the Most High.
Ayah number : 2
ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ 2
2 Who has created everything and perfected it (by granting hearing, sight etc).
Ayah number : 3
وَٱلَّذِي قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ 3
3 And He Who has preordained everything in due measure (i.e. good or bad, useful or harmful etc.), and then guided (to make proper use of things).
Ayah number : 4
وَٱلَّذِيٓ أَخۡرَجَ ٱلۡمَرۡعَىٰ 4
4 And He Who brought out the grass (which the cattle eat).
Ayah number : 5
فَجَعَلَهُۥ غُثَآءً أَحۡوَىٰ 5
5 Then made it dry like black garbage.
Ayah number : 6
سَنُقۡرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنسَىٰٓ 6
6 We shall make you recite (the Quran), so you [O Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him)!] shall not forget it (hence, don’t hurry in repeating it during the revelation),
Ayah number : 7
إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُۚ إِنَّهُۥ يَعۡلَمُ ٱلۡجَهۡرَ وَمَا يَخۡفَىٰ 7
7 Except what Allah may will. Indeed, Allah knows the apparent (deeds) and the hidden (deeds).
Ayah number : 8
وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلۡيُسۡرَىٰ 8
8 And We shall make it easy for you [O Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him)!] (To memorize the Quran or to fulfil your obligations etc.).
Ayah number : 9
فَذَكِّرۡ إِن نَّفَعَتِ ٱلذِّكۡرَىٰ 9
9 So remind (mankind) only if it benefits them (this is an etiquette of preaching – Ibn Kathir).
سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَن يَخۡشَىٰ 10
10 Those who fear Allah will learn a lesson from it.
وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا ٱلۡأَشۡقَى 11
11 And the unfortunate person will ignore it.
ٱلَّذِي يَصۡلَى ٱلنَّارَ ٱلۡكُبۡرَىٰ 12
12 Who will enter the great Fire.
