Order in Al-Mushaf : 88
Ayah number : 14
وَأَكۡوَابٞ مَّوۡضُوعَةٞ 14
14 And cups placed (nearby).
Ayah number : 15
وَنَمَارِقُ مَصۡفُوفَةٞ 15
15 And cushions arranged in rows.
Ayah number : 16
وَزَرَابِيُّ مَبۡثُوثَةٌ 16
16 And rich silken carpets fully spread out.
Ayah number : 17
أَفَلَا يَنظُرُونَ إِلَى ٱلۡإِبِلِ كَيۡفَ خُلِقَتۡ 17
17 Do they not look at the camels, how they are created?
Ayah number : 18
وَإِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ كَيۡفَ رُفِعَتۡ 18
18 And at the sky , how We raised it so high?
Ayah number : 19
وَإِلَى ٱلۡجِبَالِ كَيۡفَ نُصِبَتۡ 19
19 And at the mountains , how they are fixed firmly?
Ayah number : 20
وَإِلَى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ كَيۡفَ سُطِحَتۡ 20
20 And at the earth, how it is spread out?
Ayah number : 21
فَذَكِّرۡ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُذَكِّرٞ 21
21 [O Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him)!] So do re-mind them, since you are supposed to remind them only.
Ayah number : 22
لَّسۡتَ عَلَيۡهِم بِمُصَيۡطِرٍ 22
22 You are not a warden over them. (Some scholars say that this command was cancelled when fighting was prescribed)
Ayah number : 23
إِلَّا مَن تَوَلَّىٰ وَكَفَرَ 23
23 Except the one who turns away (from truth) and disbelieves.
Ayah number : 24
فَيُعَذِّبُهُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡعَذَابَ ٱلۡأَكۡبَرَ 24
24 So Allah will punish him with the severest punishment.
Ayah number : 25
إِنَّ إِلَيۡنَآ إِيَابَهُمۡ 25
25 Indeed, they have to return to Us.
Ayah number : 26
ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيۡنَا حِسَابَهُم 26
26 Then, indeed, it is Our respon-sibility to make them accountable.
Order in Al-Mushaf : 89
Ayah number : 1
وَٱلۡفَجۡرِ 1
1 By the dawn (since every dawn creates an extraordinary revolution in the universe).
Ayah number : 2
وَلَيَالٍ عَشۡرٖ 2
2 By the ten nights (i.e. first ten nights of the month of Dhul-Hijjah).
Ayah number : 3
وَٱلشَّفۡعِ وَٱلۡوَتۡرِ 3
3 And by the even and the odd (e.g. even is 10th of Dhul-Hijjah and odd is 9th of Dhul-Hijjah).
Ayah number : 4
وَٱلَّيۡلِ إِذَا يَسۡرِ 4
4 And by the night when it is about to end.
Ayah number : 5
هَلۡ فِي ذَٰلِكَ قَسَمٞ لِّذِي حِجۡرٍ 5
5 (After these oaths, Allah is in-viting the careless man to ponder). Are these oaths not sufficient for the sensible persons to stop (commit-ting sins)?
Ayah number : 6
أَلَمۡ تَرَ كَيۡفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِعَادٍ 6
6 [O Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him)!] Did you not see how Allah has dealt with the A’d (people).
Ayah number : 7
إِرَمَ ذَاتِ ٱلۡعِمَادِ 7
7 And Iram (people, great grandfather of A’d, who were very tall) like big pillars,
